An Introduction to Robotics

Interested in electronics? Wonder how robots work? Join Tito the Tech Titan robot every Saturday throughout the school year for labs, experiments, and friendly competitions using VEX IQ robots.

Students in grades 6-8 are invited to join the fun and be introduced to the basics of robotics. This 24 week program will include basic electronics, understanding block code, introduction to python programming and working with sensors and automation. 

Tech Titans in an interactive program that students can attend and work at their own pace. A new skill or concept will be introduced every week and build on what was previously learned. All documentation and learning videos will be provided for students to read, watch, and learn outside of the Saturday club gatherings.

The club will run from October through April, 10am to noon, excluding certain dates for holidays and special events. Please refer to the club schedule for all excluded dates. The sessions will be held at the ARIC facility, located at 31 West Main Street, Rear, Westminster MD, 21157.

24 Weeks of Hands-on Experience

The club follows a 24 week program of experiential learning concepts with the help of industry professional mentors that will facilitate the sessions.  Club participation is limited to 20 students to allow for personalized learning and access to equipment and resources. This low cost allows us to provide refreshments, printing materials, and instructional personnel.

We understand the need for low cost learning opportunities, and the robotics club is an exceptional way for your student to gain hands-on experience in a growing career field.  The pricing breaks down to $10 a class.  Feel free to contact MAGIC for more information on monthly payment options. MAGIC does have a limited amount of scholarship opportunities for qualifying need based students.
