april: create your own flexi-animal!
Have you ever wanted to design and 3D print your very own creation? Now’s your chance! Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll use easy-to-learn design software to create a custom flexi-animal and send it to our 3D printers to bring it to life.
Flexi-animals are articulated creatures made up of interlocking segments that move and flex once printed. You’ll choose your animal, customize your design, and get a firsthand look at how 3D printing works from start to finish. This event is open to all ages and no prior experience is required.
We will begin promptly at 6PM, but it may not take the full two hours to create your design. However, we want to give you plenty of time to experiment!
Please note that because 3D prints take time to complete, finished pets will not be ready the same evening. You will be contacted via email when your print is ready for pickup at the ARIC facility.
This is a great opportunity to explore our Makerspace and see what 3D printing is all about. We hope to see you there!

Cost: $25, which includes one flexi-animal of up to five segments.
Ages: All ages welcome!
Each $25 registration is for a single flexi-animal. You can register to create up to four flexi-animals (no more than one per person, please). Parent(s)/guardian(s) and child/children can work together.
We will provide a separate workstation for each flexi-animal creation.

Mother’s Day Drop‑In at the Flower & Jazz Festival
Stop by our drop-in event during the Flower and Jazz Festival to explore a variety of Mother’s Day–themed crafting activities. From simple make‑and‑take projects to personalized gifts, our team will guide participants of all ages through fun, beginner‑friendly creations using makerspace tools and materials.

march: create your own vinyl tumbler
Start with a blank glass tumbler and explore a variety of vinyl colors, patterns, and simple starter designs. You’ll learn how to cut, weed, and apply vinyl using our makerspace tools. This workshop is perfect for first‑timers as well as those who have used vinyl before. Ages: 16+, Cost: $40

- No refund if canceled less than 1 week prior to start of class.
- Full refund or free registration (up to one year for a comparable workshop) will be provided if ARIC cancels a workshop for any reason, including low enrollment or inclement weather.
