summer camp
SeaPerch
What is SeaPerch?
SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that challenges students to design, build, and operate their own remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). Participants will not only gain technical skills but will also experience real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) while fostering creativity and critical thinking skills.
Camp Highlights:
- Design & Build an ROV: Learn the basics of engineering and construction as you build a SeaPerch ROV from scratch. You’ll work with tools, materials, and tech to create an underwater vehicle capable of diving into real-world aquatic challenges.
- STEM in Action: Engage in hands-on learning and dive into some of the core principles of physics, engineering, and electronics while putting them to work in the construction and operation of your ROV. At the end of camp, you will have the chance to put your ROV to the test in the water!
- Hands-On Learning: Get ready for a completely immersive experience where you’ll apply science and engineering in real-world scenarios.
- STEM Skill Development: Gain valuable engineering, design, fabrication, and problem-solving skills that will help you in future STEM endeavors.
- Confidence & Collaboration: SeaPerch fosters teamwork, collaboration, and leadership, giving students the opportunity to grow both technically and personally.
Who Should Attend?
SeaPerch Camp is open to students ages 10 and up who are passionate about STEM, building, and exploring new technology. Whether you’re a first-time builder or have some experience, this camp is designed to challenge and inspire students of all skill levels.
